Celebrate your birthday at Disney-Free in 2009

Next year plan to celebrate your birthday at the happiest place on earth. Disney just announced they are offering free park admission to visitors on their special day, with valid identification. Mickey’s year-long promotion hopes to encourage celebration vacations.

Entrance fees run approximately $75 per adult, so the savings should offset park meals or the price of a tank of gas. Double the beneifts for twins.

Why I Return to St. John

Ten trips within fifteen years to the same small island: St. John, jewel of the US Virgin Islands. Ten; now that's a lot of vacation time spent in one place.

Driving on the left around vertical hair-pin turns and the occasional need to brake for pigs, goats, cows, chickens and donkeys crossing the road.

Genips to pry open with your teeth and suck the fleshy pit. Never tasted a genip? Just hop over to St. John and find a genip tree!
